Everything you need to know about the Detroit Pistons’ visit to the Philadelphia 76ers, live on Sky Sports at 5pm on Saturday.

The Eastern Conference playoff contenders meet at the Wells Fargo Center, having enjoyed reasonably strong starts to the season.

The Sixers, led by charismatic center Joel Embiid and Australian point guard Ben Simmons, are 5-4, having had a two-game win streak snapped by the Toronto Raptors before beating the Los Angeles Clippers last time out.

The Pistons opened their campaign with four straight victories before suffering back-to-back defeats at the hands of the Boston Celtics and another loss to Brooklyn Nets.

Last time out

Numbers game: The Pistons were down by 15 points during the first quarter of their previous game against the Brooklyn Nets, which they eventually lost in overtime. The Pistons have a bad habit of starting slowly.

One to watch (Pistons) – Ish Smith’s efficiency is improving partly because he takes on fewer deep mid-range shots. Smith has attempted just two in seven games so far. His changing approach is something to keep an eye on.

One to watch (76ers) – Joel Embiid’s star continues to rise. He hit a season-high 41 points, plus 13 rebounds, last time out against the Clippers.
