Dillian Whyte has ripped into Deontay Wilder for ‘fake crying’ at his press conference after knocking out former sparring partner Robert Helenius two weeks ago. The Bronze Bomber broke down in tears as he talked about the dangers of boxing.

Referencing Prichard Colon who suffered a life-altering brain injury in a fight against Terrel Williams in 2015, Wilder said: “We’ve seen what happens, look at Colon. How he got hit, Prichard Colon, correct,” Wilder said.

“This man didn’t have no kids… they don’t understand. Y’all don’t f****** understand what we go through, man. And I don’t even know him like that, but I will always be an advocate for us. Because this man will never know what it’s like to be somebody’s father. And that’s one of the most precious things in the world, to be somebody’s father.

“He will never be nobody’s father, man. Because he got in the ring to support his family but now, his family got to take care of him for the rest of his life. He was probably the bread winner in his family and now they’re looking and seeking for help and s*** like that.

“I could say so much about it [knocking Helenius out], man. That’s why you can’t play this, this is serious. We don’t know if Robert is going to be the same after this. I just did a job. I’m great at what I do but I don’t mean to take people away from the lifestyle they’re living. I’m just trying to support my family as well.”

Prior to his back-to-back knockout losses to Tyson Fury, Wilder had regularly affirmed that he wanted a ‘body’ on his record. However, his opinion appears to have changed. But Whyte doesn’t buy Wilder’s emotional plea.

The Body Snatcher has branded Wilder ‘the biggest fraud in all of sport’ and accused him of ‘fake crying’ at his presser. Speaking to the Daily Mail, he said: “Even fake crying at the press conference the other day, I was just like, ‘you just make me sick, you piece of s***’.

He continued: “I heard that Wilder still doesn’t want to fight me,” Whyte said. “He is the biggest fraud in all of sport, never mind boxing.

“Who doesn’t fight his number one contender for over four years and then claims he is the greatest of all time? He hasn’t actually beaten anyone of note yet. He is just a cowardly con man.”
