John Fury insists Tyson "ain’t getting beat for a long time" in training video

John Fury has insisted that his world heavyweight champion son Tyson ‘ain’t getting beat for a long time’, after the Gypsy King shared his latest training video. Fury successfully defended his WBC heavyweight title last month after defeating Dillian Whyte.

Following that victory, the 33-year-old reiterated his pre-fight stance that he would be hanging up his gloves and retiring from professional boxing. A month on Fury from his Wembley win he is still yet to officially confirm his future.

The Gypsy King has rewarded his own heroics with a much deserved holiday with his family in the South of France. Throughout his time away, Fury has shared plenty of photos and clips of his lavish holiday on the continent, which included a luxury trip on a yacht alongside dad John and wife Paris. As well as enjoying himself though, the Gypsy King is still putting himself through an intense training schedule.

In his latest training update, Fury was seen shadow boxing on the stunning French coast, accompanied with the complimentary commentary of his dad. As Tyson put himself through his paces, John can be heard saying: “He just can’t stop training this man.

“He can’t get enough of it, he’s on fire. Nearly 34 in August and still on fire. He ain’t getting beat for a long time this man.”

Fury Snr continued: “Look at this, he never stops. He loves it, I can say it’s a DNA thing. I do believe that this man can train hour and hour out.”

Whilst it still remains unclear as to whether the heavyweight champion will hang his gloves up or not, governing body the WBC have announced that they will give the Gypsy King a full year to make his decision, and hand over his title if he does choose to call it quits.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman said, per The Sun: “We have one year to have the next mandatory fight. At this moment, we will wait for the decision of Tyson Fury and then we will either do a series of fights – a boxing tournament – going into a final elimination. But at this time we're going to wait because we don't know the specific circumstances."

Promoter Eddie Hearn has also had his say on Fury’s pending decision, but believes the Gypsy King will pause his retirement plans to fight the winner of the rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk. Speaking toiFL TV , Hearn said: "It's very easy for Tyson to go back and go, 'Look, I'm just gonna have some time now.

“Let me just think about what I'm going to do, 'I know I said that after the fight, but let me have some time.' And they shouldn't strip him, of course not."

"He doesn't have to retire, he doesn't have to give them a decision when his next fight is just yet. He's just boxed. So everything is done properly, but, of course, we all know he's not retiring. So I expect to see him fight the winner of Joshua-Usyk in December."
