Bullets secure American import

The Brisbane Bullets have moved a step closer to completing their 2021-22 NBL roster with the signing of American guard Isaiah Moss.

A 2020 graduate from the University of Kansas, 24-year-old Moss will join the Bullets from New Zealand club Otago, for whom he is averaging 21.5 points a game in the NZNBL.

New Bullets coach James Duncan said Moss would bring “a dynamic weapon and piece to our playing group”.

“He also fits into the character and quality people we have and want within our program. Bullets fans can be excited to watch what Isaiah brings to the floor,” Duncan said.

Moss was thrilled to have the chance to play in a competition he described as “one of the best in the world”.

“I’m just excited to get out there and meet my new teammates, coach Duncan and get to work,” Moss said.

“I’ve heard Brisbane is a really nice city with some amazing weather. I’ve heard so many good things about the fans from other players and I’m looking forward to seeing it for myself.”

Brisbane Bullets general manager Sam Mackinnon said: “Isaiah adds great depth to our roster and his ability to play out of structure yet also create his own shot is impressive.

“After finishing his first professional stint in New Zealand, we believe his young career will continue to flourish under the tutelage of JD.”

Moss’ signing comes hot on the heels of Brisbane securing the services of former Illawarra Hawks big man Deng Deng and another tall in New Zealand international Jack Salt.

The Bullets hope t\o adding two more imports to their roster – Lamar Patterson and Vic Law – to their roster.

Law is recovering from ankle surgery, while Patterson has remained in Brisbane in the off-season to play for the Southern District Spartans in the NBL1 North competition.
