Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang believes he ‘shares the same view of football’ with his Arsenal striker partner Alexandre Lacazette.

The pair have excelled in tandem with one another this season and could well round it off by winning the UEFA Europa League when the Gunners play Chelsea in Baku next Wednesday.

And Aubameyang has revealed he knew there would be chemistry even before Unai Emery started playing them together.

‘I already knew his style of play; our first meeting was great. We share the same view of football,’ he told RMC.

‘We joke and like to laugh. On the pitch, all it takes is a look. It’s natural.

‘One will find the other and the other will do the same just as much.’

Aubameyang, 29, scored 22 Premier League goals during his first full season with Arsenal, earning him a share of the Golden Boot with Liverpool duo Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

He typically celebrated with Lacazette when they’re on the field together, with some choreographed celebrations making an appearance.

And Aubameyang, who has 41 goals for Arsenal already, wants to become a club legend.

He added: ‘Of course it’s fun and I’m very happy, but it was challenging for me to come to Arsenal and impose myself as a great striker.

‘Now I want me name to become a legend there.’
