Jorge Lorenzo: WATCH fuming Honda star as he’s forced to retire from Austin MotoGP
The Spaniard has suffered a difficult few months at the Japanese factory.
He finished 13th in the Qatar curtain raiser after a disastrous qualifying session.
Then three weeks later, as the bikes lined up on the grid in Termas, Lorenzo accidentally hit the pit limiter.
Things didn’t get much better in Texas at the Circuit of The Americas.
It was a dismal weekend for Honda as a whole.
Reigning world champion Marquez came off his bike after just a few laps.
BT Sport pundit Keith Huewen said: “He [Marquez] was in too hot and a little off line.”
A desperate Marquez remounted his bike, but was unable to get it started again.
He had previously secured glory six times on the bounce in Austin.
LCR Honda star Cal Crutchlow also came off his bike and was unable to continue.
