The left-hander has been sidelined since spring training with a shoulder injury and has spent time in Double-A Tulsa to rehab the issue. He threw 81 pitches in six innings Tuesday night for the Drillers, striking out six but allowing a pair of home runs.
“It was a little better than my last rehab start, so that was good,” Kershaw told reporters of his outing Tuesday, via ESPN. “Got to get through six innings, which was big. Got my pitch count up there, so next time I’ll be ready to go.”
