Anthony Joshua makes first public appearance since Andy Ruiz Jr defeat

Anthony Joshua has made his first public appearance since he was beaten by Andy Ruiz Jr.

The Brit lost his three heavyweight world titles to the huge underdog in New York earlier this month.

He returned to London shortly afterwards and headed straight for the gym after triggering the rematch clause in his contract.

And on Wednesday Joshua joined Prince Harry at the launch of a campaign designed to bring together charities supporting disadvantaged young people through sport.

Made by Sport aims to take advantage of the proven role sport can play in developing skills that make a difference at school, work and life.

The new campaign will also raise vital funds to support sports provision and grassroots clubs and organisations in disadvantaged communities across the UK.

Joshua and Prince Harry were joined by another Olympic champion in Nicola Adams as they led a boxing training session with young people.

Joshua was a short odds-on favourite to beat Ruiz and continue his dominance of the heavyweight division.

But after dropping his challenger in the third round, Joshua himself was sent to the canvas twice in the same session.

He recovered but was dropped twice in the seventh stanza before the fight was stopped.
